Fit Ball
Also known as exercise ball, gym ball, pilates ball, sports ball, fit or fitness ball, stability ball, therapy ball, Swiss ball, yoga ball, balance ball, or body ball.
Fit ball exercises help strengthen the core muscles: abs, hips, lower back and the thighs. Doing abdominal exercises on a fit ball is particularly effective.
Fit ball exercise is suitable for all levels of fitness; working core muscles and improving balance.
Getting warmed-up, ready for some fit ball action at the Wickbourne centre, Littlehampton
Examples of uses of the exercise ball include:
- Developing overall control and strength of the core body muscles.
- Increasing lower back mobility.
- Increasing abdominal and back muscle strength.
- Improving balance and stability.
- Learning proper body mechanics and posture while lifting objects.
NOTE: Please come to the class at least 5 minutes early. This way everybody can go through the warm-up, exercise routine and the warm-down together. Late comers disturb the exercise flow which spoils it for other people.
Anybody is welcome to come and watch for free before deciding to join. As long as you come early and check in with the instructor (for health and safety reasons). I will not be able to answer questions during the session as this is unfair for the people who have paid for the class. Time permitting after the session I can answer some questions.
Come along have some fun, socialise and get fit at the same time.
